LECE completed the mechanical and plumbing design for the four-story hotel as well as completing the power and lighting distribution design, to include parking and outside lighting.
Quiet and energy efficient package terminal units were selected per room. We used the split system for the lobby, meeting areas and hallways. Two high efficiency boilers were used: one on each side of the building, with re-circulating pumps to maintain the energy efficient hot water at all times.

Design: Redesigned existing HVAC equipment and ductwork
layout to accommodate two separate tenant spaces. We completed
coordination and layout for design of new ductwork, supply air
diffusers and return air grills. Provided the layout of new
thermostat and applicable zones, exhaust for conference rooms,
kitchens and restrooms. Ductwork and piping risers as needed.
Layout of new air conditioning zones as needed and coordination
with architectural and structural consultants to establish preliminary
duct sizes and available duct sizes and available scaled diagrammatic
routes for ducts. Provided a registered engineer's stamp and
signature on all mechanical drawings.
Electrical Design: Modified the existing building
service to separate meters for two tenants. Revised the existing
space to accommodate separation. Performed Title-24 calculations.
Provided panel diagrams, single line diagram and coordinated
with mechanical systems to provide power and/or conduit diagrams.
Provided power for relocated computer room. Coordinated all
work with other related consultants as required, made all necessary
plan check corrections to electrical drawings and energy code
compliance documentation and provided a registered engineer's
stamp and signature on all electrical drawings.

manufacturing company. Scope of design services included central
HVAC system to utilize chillers, boilers, cooling towers, chilled
& hot water supply and return layouts, fan coils, exhaust-fans,
fume hoods and dust collection design. This facility had office
spaces, manufacturing and processing spaces, lunchroom, laundry
room, security room, etc.

Completed
mechanical design services including heating, ventilation, air
conditioning, and plumbing for 20,000 sq. ft. of office space,
classrooms, and conference rooms. We also provided the electrical
design, including lighting design and power distribution for
entire building and site lighting. Designed the split system
air conditioning for classrooms and conference rooms with individual
thermostat in order to have better temperature control and a
higher comfort level. Duct liners were used in supply and return
plenum to minimize any sound from fan coil units. We placed
the heat pumps on the roof in a hidden area. Large package units
were used for high ceiling entrance areas. Our Title-24 Energy
Calculation confirms the compliance with building codes and
the California Energy Commission.
